The transfer portal has treated the Texas Longhorns very well this offseason. Will the rich get richer with Sark trying to double dip at the wide receiver position?

Agiye Hall
Agiye Hall is one of the best players to jump into the transfer portal in 2022 and Texas might just have a shot to snag the talented wideout. Standing at 6′ 3, Hall is a former high 4-star out of Valrico, Florida. Hall decided to hit the transfer portal after being suspended for the remainder of Spring practices at the University of Alabama.
Hall was buried on the depth chart at Alabama. However, he saw significant playing time in the College Football Playoff after both John Metchie III and Jameson Williams went down with injuries. In the National Championship Game Hall ended up with 2 catches for 52 yards against a stout Georgia defense.
Off the Field Issues
The thing that scares some people away with Agiye Hall is the off the field issues. Which is understandable considering Sarkisian just “cleaned house” at Texas over this offseason. Honestly sometimes all a kid needs is a change of scenery to get their act together. Hall has elite talent but, it all depends on if he can get his head on straight.

If you refuse to believe me on how talented Hall is here is what Charles Power a National Writer for 247Sports had to say about him.
“Well-built with the frame to add more mass once he gets in a college strength program. A long, gifted athlete who tests very well in combine settings. Among the better athletes at receiver in the 2021 cycle. Broke out as a sophomore at a top high school program in the Tampa area. Saw a slight dip in production as a junior.
Has the physical ability to run past corners and separate downfield with his long speed. Has the athletic ability to make acrobatic catches and pull away from defenders after the catch. Is raw technically as a receiver and will need to improve his releases and route-running in addition to being hesitant around contact at times. Can also improve his ball skills as he’s not yet a natural catcher of the football at times. Projects as a multi-year starter at the Power Five level with the upside of developing into an early to mid-round NFL Draft pick.”

In Closing
I have been arguing with the other Texas Talk guys about if Agiye Hall is worth pursuing in the Transfer Portal. I believe 100% that Texas should go after him. My colleagues on the other hand don’t think Texas should pursue because of his off the field issues, but it really doesn’t matter what we think. It all comes down to what Sark and his staff believe in doing. Do they think his career is salvageable? Do they think he will do more harm than good in the locker room? Ultimately, we will find out their decision in the coming weeks, but for now we will just have to sit and wait for an answer.
