A certain recruit is back on the market after decommitting from Texas A&M. Is the high 4-star cornerback considering the Texas Longhorns? Find out below!

Bravion Rodgers
Bravion Rodgers is a high 4-star cornerback out of La Grange, Texas. He comes in at 5 foot 11.5 inches and 180 pounds. Rodgers is definitely the type of cornerback that Steve Sarkisian is looking to add to the 2023 recruiting class. Sark recently stated in a press conference that he wants to bring in long, physical corners. Rodgers fits that description to a “T”.
Rodgers recently de-committed from Texas A&M and is now looking for a new school to call home for the next 3 to 4 years. I think Texas will pursue Rodgers, but as of right now it looks like LSU has the lead in his recruitment. However, if this recruitment drags out to NSD, I think Texas will have a solid chance of landing Rodgers.

In Closing
Cornerback is a huge need for the Texas Longhorns in the 2023 recruiting class and there are plenty of options out there. Texas already has high 4-star cornerback Malik Muhammad committed in this class. Other top cornerbacks like Javien Toviano and Jordan Matthews are currently Texas leans, according to reports. Meaning Texas looks good so far in recruiting the defensive backfield. However, if things fall apart with Toviano, Matthews, and Rodgers this cornerback class could get really ugly.
Hopefully Sarkisian and staff can finish out this recruiting class strong and bring in all 3 of the guys I listed above. Without a doubt, this would be one of Texas’ best cornerback classes of all time. Setting up the real DBU (Texas) for great success over the next few years.
